Announcements:

Kindergarten registration for the Madison Local School District will be held at each elementary school February 27 through March 9, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Kindergarten will be held all-day, Monday – Friday. Children must be five years old on or before August 1 to enroll in kindergarten. Parents must bring the following to register their child: birth certificate of child, immunization record, child’s social security card, proof of residency (utility bill), and current custody papers if applicable. Parents should register their child at the school building where their child will attend.

Welcome to Eastview Elementary!

Eastview serves students in the grades of Kindergarten through 6th grade. Our staff would like to provide our students with the tools to achieve their highest potential. To accomplish this goal we believe it will take students, teachers, parents and community working together for academic and social success.

All of us, at Eastview Elementary, are looking forward to another great school year. We would like to welcome some new staff for the 2011-2012 school year.

Sandi Carmichael – Custodian – coming from Wooster Heights
Jane Walter – Librarian – coming from Wooster Heights
Sheri McQuate – Title I – coming from Wooster Heights
Christine Vermillion – 4th grade – coming from Wooster Heights

I know that all of these new staff members are sad to leave Wooster Heights, but we are very excited to have such great people come to Eastview to make it even a better school.

We do have one other change this year; Mrs. Klein has moved from 5th grade to 4th grade this year and will teach Science and Social Studies.

The upcoming school year will be filled with many new and exciting times for your son or daughter. Please stay involved in your child’s education at all times.

Our PTO is a great way to be involved with our school. Their next meeting will be Oct. 10, 2011 at Garden Gate from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The PTO does a great job of supporting your child, so come be a part of a great organization and help Eastview grow.

Eastview had several retirements this summer and we would like to wish them well in their new endeavors and thanks for the many great years of hard work.
