Madison Offers a Comprehensive Education...
Madison Local School District offers every student a comprehensive education. Without leaving the school district, every student may choose from many career paths - from skilled employment immediately out of high school to the highest college degree.

In 1975 the Madison community decided that they did not want to bus their children to a career center out of the community. They built an addition to the high school and provided what is now called Career Technical education to any student interested in obtaining a skill before graduation.

Community Setting...
The Madison Local School District surrounds the city of Mansfield on the North, East, and South. It is a metropolitian area with a population of approximately 93,000 and is located midway between Cleveland and Columbus. Due to the many recreational and cultural activities available to the people of the area, Mid-Ohio Race Track, Kingwood Center, Malabar Farm, Carousel Park, The B & O Bike Trail, The Mansfield Playhouse, and the Mansfield Motorsports Speedway, the community has been nicknamed "The Fun Center of Ohio."

School Profile...
Madison Local School System was first charted in the early 1900's, drawing students from numerous surrounding township feeder schools (many one room schools). Since that time a number of school buildings have been opened and closed. Today Madison School System is composed of Madison Comprehensive High School, Madison Adult Education, Madison Junior High School, Eastview Elementary School, Mifflin Elementary School, South Elementary School, Wooster Heights Elementary School, and Madison Child Care Center.
